What is happening?

1st screenshot = Classic Editor

• “Add title” at the top
• Large Visual / Code editor
• Add Media button
• Traditional WordPress post editor
• This is the layout you want.

2nd screenshot = Gutenberg / Block Editor

• Large blank block area
• + button to add blocks
• Right sidebar with Post / Block
• “Edit with Elementor” button at the top
• This is the newer WordPress editor.

So you need to switch your WordPress default post editor from Gutenberg to Classic Editor.

Do this step-by-step

Step 1 — Go to Plugins

In your WordPress dashboard:

Plugins → Installed Plugins

Look for:

Classic Editor

If you see it:

• Make sure it is Activated
• Then go to Step 2.

If you don’t see it:

Plugins → Add New Plugin

Search:

Classic Editor

Install and activate the official Classic Editor plugin.

Step 2 — Change the editor setting

Go to:

Settings → Writing

Look for:

Default editor for all users

Select:

Classic Editor

Then look for:

Allow users to switch editors

Select:

No

Click:

Save Changes

Step 3 — Test it

Now go to:

Posts → Add New

You should get the same type of editor as your 1st screenshot:

Add title

then:

Add Media | Visual | Code

instead of the big Gutenberg blank area.
